Fevah - 25 September
Posted by DJ Fez on 11 September 2009
Fevah is back to celebrate its first birthday at the Planet on the 25th of September with long time favourite Jason Midro, newcomer Future Resonance and local legend S3RL. Supported by the Fevah residents Jody 6, Justin Charge, Jacob Bradford, ELRV8 & Let Loose + other special guests across two areas featuring hard and funky tunes, this is the night that Brisbane has long been waiting for!
Jason Midro is a well known face around Melbourne’s hard dance circuit. Picking up the art of mixing in the late 80s he went on to create and build his Bass Station club night, making a slot at Bass Station one of the most sought after gigs from both local and overseas DJs.
Jason capitalised on the success of Bass Station by releasing CDs and DVDs based on the club night, as well as having a hand in mixing some of the now legendary Hard NRG CDs from Ministry of Sound as well as regularly appearing in the top 10 of inthemix.com.au Top 50 DJ Poll.
Mixing a set of hard NRG, uplifting and euphoric sounds (and even a few house elements), variety is the name of the game to keep the crowd on the floor and wanting more!
Future Resonance is one of New Zealand's fastest rising stars, recently achieving Runner up to Best Live Act as well as Best DJ at the 2009 Nite:Life Awards.
Intertwining the uplifting sounds of hard trance with the driving energy of hard house to produce a unique blend of inspiring melodic musical concepts in an eclectic live performing style scored Future Resonance high profile slots at some of the biggest events across New Zealand, such as Frantic, Slinky, Gatecrasher, Chemistry & Fevah NZ. Future Resonance is now set to explode onto the Brisbane scene for the very first time!
With up and coming releases on Carbon, Fireball, Innovation, Eletrik Shandy & The Beat Ranch you can expect to see tunes coming out on a regular basis on all major distribution dance sites real soon. Seeing Future Resonance LIVE will guarantee an experience of a calibre that is rarely seen in, or outside the club!
S3RL has come a long way since his early raving days. After firmly establishing himself as a regular dance floor fanatic at all the major raves, S3RL soon started writing and producing his own tracks nearly a decade ago.
It wasn't until 2005 when he caught the attention of Kevin Energy, who soon signed the track 'Transformers' for a vinyl release under the Nu Energy Collective (NEC) and became the first QLD DJ to be signed to a major Hardcore label.
Since then, S3RL has released numerous anthems and has played alongside hardcore giants such as Brisk, Sharkey, Scott Brown and Neophyte while still managing to find the time to cling to his first love, the dance floor, and has been seen taking the Brisbane stomp to the global level!
RSVP on groups.to/fevah or get your tix from OzTix! See you on the floor!
