This is Side A of the mixtape I had professionally mastered for promotional use in 2000. At the time, this was more or less a collection of my 'go to' records when I spun at parties, though I of course varied quite a bit at live events, so as to not be stagnant. The only problem with this mixtape is that I had to make it at my friend's house, since he had the DAT recorder, and he wasn't there at the time. This wouldn't have been a problem, except that I hadn't ever used his mixer before, and aside from being quite odd to me (I use a Gemini 626Pro), his mixer 'bled', so to speak! He failed to tell me this, so there are a couple points in the mix where you can hear the 'other' record when you're not supposed to (which I couldn't tell at the time, since his booth monitor was exceptionally loud). Moreover, my unfamiliarity with his mixer posed a few other problems (meaning I probably should have borrowed his DAT recorder and made the recording on my decks!).
All that said, I still think it is a very decent mix, and representative of the hard trance and hard house (etc.) I was playing when I first started performing at parties (c. late 1999/early 2000).
