Yev has recently taken the step from bedroom banger to rising star on Sydney’s club circuit. Since his debut set in early 2010, playing B2B with local legend Peewee Ferris in Sublime’s “Peewee’s Bootcamp” Yev has now secured himself regular sets at the iconic club Sublime.
First being introduced to the hard dance scene in 2003, it's been all about the music and clubs. Starting out as a club goer, Yev soon realised that he had to take his passion for music to another level. He started off learning to mix on vinyl in early 2006, spinning records such as Saltwater - The Legacy, Black Spider - Save Your Life, Blutonium Boy - Acid Overdose. To this day, he is mesmerised by the art of vinyl.
What sets Yev apart from many other DJ’s is his broad taste in music ranging from uplifting sounds of trance, UK hard dance and happy hardcore to more darker heavier hard trance, tech and hardstyle. Having such a diverse taste in music really makes his sets stick out from the rest, with the ability to mix and mash between genres makes it hard to leave the dancefloor.
Yev has supported artists such as Nik Fish, Peewee Ferris, John Ferris, Nomad, Nasty, Scotty G, Arbor and many others. Some of his inspirations come from Scot Project, Vandall, Technikal, Guyver, Technoboy and Yoshi.
With this hunger and passion for music, the possibilities are endless!
