About Me
Hello all, my name is Phil Watkinson. I am a upcoming DJ/producer and co-run the Encoded Nrg brand (Digital label and events) with Wayne Smart and Phatt Beats (Toby Bowen).

I love music of all kinds but my passion is with hard house and nrg. I started mixing back in 1998 when I got my first set of Technics 1210's but never spent enough time on them to go any further than my bedroom, lol.

Over the years I've tried mixing various types of music including trance, hard trance, funky house and electro (the latter 2 landing me a set in March 2009 @ Tutti Fruity at THAT club in Greenwich, london, in front of 200 people)

In late 2008 I was introduced to Toby Bowen and Wayne Smart. These two re-ignighted my passion for mixing hard house and the scene and gave me the encouragement and self belief to progress. In September 2009 Wayne gave me my first set @ Encoded Nrg in Southend and shortly after gave me residency. By October I'd been signed by the Encoded Nrg label.

Since then I have featured in line ups @ Encoded Nrg and Requiem London with the likes of Adam M, Lucy Fur, Dave Curtis, Jojo, Rich Resonate, Gaz Gibson as well as Southends finest Wayne Smart, Phatt Beats and Weazal.

Big things are planned for the label in 2010 with the launch of Encoded Nrg CD 2 and taking the Encoded Nrg night on full time with a monthly residency at Southend's seafront nightclub SS1.
