DJ Ken Jensen is a man on a mission. Having been involved in the music scene for over 25 years, Ken’s bringing the old school vibe to a new school crowd with a unique party van.
DJ Ken Jensen was there from the very beginning, owning and managing clubs, DJ’ing at legendary music festivals like the Big Day Out (boiler room), rave parties and club nights and appearing on JJJ’s mix up dance show, plus being on a now legendry mix CD, DJ Beats: Beyond the Turntable.
Having navigated the musical changes over the decades, Ken saw an opportunity to bring back some of what made the old days so special, combined it with the exciting new music being produced today. And so DJ Ken Jensen’s Mobile DJ Van was born...
“I wanted to bring something unique to today’s parties, and there is nothing more unique than this van” says Ken.

Ken Jensen's energetic and explosive personality, combined with an extensive background in promotion and DJing have positioned him as one of Queenslands most sought after D.J's.
Before Ken's move to Brisbane in 1993, amidst his many club residencies in the A.C.T., Ken acted as the proprietor and managing director of the successful Base nightclub. Here back in ‘91, Ken developed his talent for promotion and event co-ordination which has carried him through his career in Brisbane and established him as a necessary working component of the Queensland Rave and Dance Club scene.
Ken's DJing career spans 27 years and in this time he has developed a wide technological background to his work. This has enabled Ken to assist in the backstage functioning's for all of the major dance parties in Queensland and ensuring high quality sound, lighting and atmosphere as the resident in the clubs he has worked for. From playing commercial to underground dance clubs for over 20 years, Ken has gained the decisive knowledge of how to 'read and please the crowd'. This, coupled with Ken's experience in technological areas, he has gained respect from promoters, club proprietors and the Queensland audience, thus ensuring a headlining position at all the major Brisbane Raves.
He was D.Jing weekends at various dance clubs in Queensland from ‘93 to’99. Ken has to his recording credit 4 dance tapes, ON-E which hit the stores in June '94 and sold in excess of 400 copies in Brisbane alone and TWO-E-ZY which was released in January '95, THE THIRD EYE in March '95 and THE FOURTH ELEMENT was released in 1996.
Ken has also remixed KALEIDOSCOPE for Base X , which appears on the German label DANCE STREET. Base X released their 2nd single in April '96 called ENOLA GAY which has also been remixed by Ken, titled 'The Jensen '96 Mix' ,also on Dance Street and ZYX Records (Germany).
Ken's production includes the track CODE ONE which appears on the C.D. 'D.J. Beats Beyond The Turntable', Pee Wee Ferris's compilation which was released in November '96 and has sold in excess of 8000 copies to date and was in the Aria Top 20 charts. Ken 2nd track titled BLISS is on D.J. Beats volume 2, both CD's are released by Sony Music, Dance-Pool.
Ken has also appeared on the national dance show MIX UP on JJJ radio and has played at The Big Day Out in The Boiler Room in 1995 and 1996.
Ken also lived in Canberra from 1999 to 2003. There he had a residency at Canberra's biggest Saturday nighter 'MELT' at “CLUB HABANA' in Manuka. He also ran the ACT DJ School with DJ Kaos.
In 2003, Ken bought and transformed a ’72 Ford Transit into a mobile DJ Studio, equipped with technics decks, mixer, pc, studio monitors and my powerful JBL tr series 1800 watt speakers and a generator to power up anywhere. He traveled the east coast of Australia and now lives on the Gold Coast. Playing at private parties and outdoor events.
