Julianu (aka Johnie Bobonica) had being a lover of music at a young age listening to various genres from Pop to Rock and Dance to Trance. He was born in the little country Romania in the communist era in the year 1985. More specifically in one of Romania's main cities Constanta, located nearby the shores of The Black Sea. He lived there for eight years and eventually moved to Australia to rejoin life with his father in the 1993. Once setting foot in Australia he adapted the life style and never looked back.
His DJ career only picked up in mid 2009 when making the top 10 for Defqon 1's Hard Dance DJ competition. Two years of practice in his bedroom finally paid off and Julianu was granted an opportunity to play alongside Queensland’s top 10 Hard dance DJ's and Dutch sensation 'Brennan Heart'. This was great exposure for Julianu as he finally broke through and into the scene. Not long after gigs started coming his way from local Hard Dance events like Blackout and Hard Dance Brisbane. Not long after he had qualified for another big DJ Competition held at The GPO, called Summer DJ Discovery.
His main genres are Hardstyle and Tech Trance but his does style does alter depending on the crowd to which he plays. This DJ always keeps his sets fresh with the latest tunes and incorporates numerous old school favorites to entertain the crowd.
His love for music is unquestionable and works tremendously hard to deliver quality music in and out of the clubs. He says 'Compliments I receive on my demos are vastly appreciated as each mix tells a story. Creating a story takes a long time and effort to compile as careful track selection is needed. If I can touch just one person out of twenty demos I give out, then I am satisfied’
