Co-founder of the west-coast based Deviantbreaks.com and a rising player on the Vancouver DJ roster, EPID3MIK has been infecting the decks with funky bassline driven sets at every event he's played from Whistler to Washington.
Music had always been a major part of DJ EPID3MIK's life growing up and taking up interests different instruments helped him to appreciate the art of music. Along the way he began to open up to all types of music genres. From hip-hop, punk, metal, classical, house, trance, hardhouse, breaks, D&B (the list could go on and on). However, his appreciation for the decks wasn't discovered until he started going to live shows watching turntablists at the DMC competitions and his favorite DJ headliners at club nights. Amazed at how one person behind a pair of turntables could control the collective vibe of the entire crowd to such a great extent by using only the music that the DJ dropped, he was hooked.
In 2007, EPID3MIK joined up with DJ G3N3R4L and formed DeviantBreaks, a DJ and production team who has brought over breakbeat favorites like Baby Anne to Vancouver. Later that same year, EPID3MIK was invited to sign up with Solid Entertainment. He has since then been part of every massive that Solid Entertainment with attendance 2000+ party goers at venues such as the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver. In 2008, EPID3MIK joined up Virtuoso Productions, spinning Hip-Hop at regular weekly nights all over Vancouver.
Cleverly blending Hip-Hop mashups with Funky and Nu-Skool breaks and electro house is a signature trait for EPID3MIK-7 and he’ll be sure to make the crowd rip the floor apart.
