Hi I'm Daniel, age 30, been listening to rave music since about 1989. I grew up in Leeds and first found the music through Pirate radios at my Gran's in Croydon...then it starting gettting into the charts and becoming popular also which is fine, but the best music always seem to remain somewhat hidden... I guess the finer things in life are often best kept slightly secret somehow?!
Passionate about Hardcore, Jungle, House and most things in between such as Ibiza-style chill-out, UK/US Garage, Breaks, Hardsyle and Trance. I love naming all the subgenres of music e.g. Tropical Jungle, Urban Jungle, Latino Jungle, Dark-Style Jungle, Future-Tech Jungle and Liquid etc etc; only Dance music has such exciting variety.
Generally I like music I consider fairly underground and cutting edge, but after a few years some of the more commercial tracks do become classics and are worth playing again in my opinion!
Used to bedroom DJ but after all my best tunes got stolen in 2000 I gave up on vinyl and and concentrated more on CDs. I've been writing music since 1994 but never had anything realsed, its just casual fun.
I take my mixes quite serious and ones I'm initially uploading (which were done in 2008) involved detailed planning and several take to get them to the right standard. I have a few secret formulas which I use in making these mixes which I hope makes them stand out a bit.
Hope you enjoy some of my mixes anyway they're mainly older tunes but ones that deserve playing out none the less!! Peace all :D
