About Me
1993

Got my first set of belt drive decks and a heavy arsenal of old skool hardcore
to practice with.Within 6 months i could beatmatch so this was definatly something i wanted to persue.

1994

Took on any gigs playing youth clubs, freinds partys, basically anywhere to let
people here what i was all about. In December 94 i blagged my way to play a
big out-door rave with the likes of Slipmatt and Lime dj,ing there,
I could hardly reach the decks !

1995

Was playing a lot of happy hardcore as it was becoming more popular,Labels
like Shoop, etc but still caining the breakbeat hardcore at partys.

1996

Started going to early raves like Judgement Day in Newcastle and events at
the Mayfair and Rezerection.

1997

Started to hand out demos to promoters as i was confident enough to play
larger crowds,Bass Generator got his fair share of demo tapes,ha ha !

1998

I got a letter off Bass Generator who at the time was running Judgement Day in Newcastle,I was asked to come and play alongside Lenny Dee(Industrial strength) and Smurf in the gabba room,Obviously i was well nervous having bought a stack of Lenny Dee tapes in the past but after my first few tunes the room took off and i hammered them with Dutch hardcore and speedcore.

1999

Was asked to be a resident in the gabba room at Judgement Day playing pretty much every month at the uni in Newcastle and the odd JD allnighter in South Shields.Over the course of the year i dj,d alongside the likes of DjTense,Smurf,Dolphin,Sass,Uep,Dj Freak,Simon Underground,Scorpio and Loftgroover to name a few.My live dj sets from JD were selling well at local retailers and Hmv.Carried on playing local events in Newcastle and Durham.

2000

The last ever Judgement Day was held at the Carlton studios in Edingburgh with myself,Lenny Dee,Scott Brown,Smurf,Bassy G,Freestyle from Australia and Marc Smith.I played a cracking set of hardcore techno and speedcore and the jocks loved it.

2002

After having a break from the scene due to my little girl being born and a lot of other issues i started to sink my teeth in to other styles besides hardcore as the scene had stopped in Newcastle and the majority of hardcore events in the North East dried up.

2003

The hard house and trance scene was big at this time and it led to quite a busy year playing all over the Uk at events in Birkenhead like Lennins and Hardtimz,Blue in Whitley Bay and Insomnia vs Sundissential at Camden Palace,London dj,ing alongside Lisa Pin-up and Nukleuz,s Ed Real.

2004

Alot of venues were played in Newcastle this year like,World headquaters,Destination,Revolution, and Envy. Not long after this i was made resident at a night called Vuzz playing hardstyle and hard trance which went well at the time.I also played numerous sets in Whitley Bay at a night me and a mate put on in Shaggys.

2005

As the bookings were steadily coming in the ""Cave ov hardcore
site was born and the internet obviously played a big part in getting gigs and putting my name out there.I was playing gigs in the North East on a monthly basis and in the mean time was buying lots of hardcore and gabber.

2006

With hardcore still being non-existant in Newcastle my bookings were mostly out of the area,Dj,ing at events such as Riac vs Ukscene(Huddersfield)Reaction(Liverpool)and Headrush in Buxton to name a few,I also put an event on in my home town with a mate,The night was called "Enigma" held at the Telegraph bar and we had some quality up and comers play like Dj Hatty,Macca,Nj,Upalnite,Mikey G,8-Ball and Hypavibe. The C.o.h. site was coming on really well and i managed to play on various internet
radio stations like Hardcore united and Hardcore revolution.

2007

Opened the "Cave ov hardcore" online shop
to tie in with the dj,ing work which is slowly picking up.Also i was asked to be a moderator on Ukscene and with my contributions to the site over the months i became a part owner interviewing dj,s and producers such as Dj Plague(Csr)Joey Riot(Lethal theory)Pinhead(Rigormortis)Dj Cruze(Thin and crispy)Infared(Scare tactics)Mc Hypavibe(We call it hardcore)The Dj Producer(Deathchant)Marc Smith(Notorious vinyl)Hujib(Blatent beats)Rv2(Jedi,etc)Bass Generator and Dj Macca.Ive also played events like Rigormortis in Nottingham,Stompin in Northamptonshire and We call it hardcore in Huddersfield playing a range
of nu-style gabber,hardcore-techno,speedcore and terror. As i started out playing oldskool breakbeat hardcore i thought it would be great to build anouther site in my spare time with my good mate Dj Macca,Check it out www.realoldskool.co.uk

2008

On New years eve i played a back 2 back speedcore set with Smash at We call it hardcore in Huddersfield and destroyed the softies ! In February i played for Ukscene vs Headrush in Long Eaton spinning an old skool hardcore-techno set and a few weeks after that i played at Twisted and Brainfire in Glasgow alongside Detest,Mark N and Scorpio. In the next few months you can catch me at Rigormortis in Nottingham,A Ukscene event in Buxton that me and the other admin are hosting Sectiond in Manchester,Digital Harlot in Glasgow and Judgement Day in Newcastle.
