Steed Howells known as DJ Double Drop, I was brought up around a constantly evolving music background. From an early age i was introduced to the dance scene spanning my tastes from the late 80s electro scene to the early 90s rave variations and cross influences within the hardcore and drum and base culture. as a child i always enjoyed the happiness music could create and the unity of peoples vibes from DJs
I have devoted my life towards music taking up mixing was just a natural step of progression for me the idea of others enjoying my creativity and appreciating my selections of tunes is an awesome concept. I began mixing the underground genres of HardTrance /Psy/Tech this was thro my love for illegal raves and free parties But i soon expanded my taste towards House music /Minimal/tech/prog/electro. my style proves my broad knowledge of music and the particular ways in which incorporate it, I am there to please whatever audience is given.
I currently host a fortnightly radio show on http://freepartyradio.com/ this allowing me to gain a footing within the area, like many other DJs i am working hard to be recognised as much as possible i believe my original style and selections help me stand out from the many other people in the same position
i take major influences from countless other DJs and producers not only for their selections but the stage presence and atmosphere they create examples such as CarlCox, Armin Van Buuren, Loco Dice, Eric Morillo, Nic Fanciulli, Claude Von Stroke, Thomas Trouble, Asys, Hennes & Cold , the list could literally fill the page .
Future plans are to begin playing as many Gigs as possible working my way up and letting people know who i am what i am about sharing my passion for the music, Currently just touching music production aiming to forge something completely knew and appealing to the masses .all enquires / booking or if their is anything else you would like to know contact me
