My Name is Dan Brown, I was born in Brisbane and grew up and went to school here. I left Brisbane Boys College in 1992 and have worked in most industries all over the world. My passion in music started back in the 90’s when I was gutzing on around Brisbane night clubs like Wall St, The Gig, The Beat, The Roxy, Empire and of course, The Tube. Where else was there back then?? Some of my early influences in music were the likes of Tony Devit, Paul Oakenfold, Boy George, Pete Tong, and locally, Juz Groovz, Angus (DJ Bribe)- RIP, Barking Boy, Pete T, and Rousy.
I’m an old school DJ that learned to play on vinyl, having to evolve with the world of digital music. Djing is very different to what it used to be with 2 decks and a mixer. The range of digital products on the market now opens up a whole new world of music and creativity…love it!!
My job and family take up most of my time these days, so not really playing too many live gigs, although I’d love to. My passion is kept intact by collecting all the latest and greatest tracks and mixing up storms with mates and at private party’s. I love making new mixes to upload to sites like this.
